Colon Hydrotherapy Training with Suzanne Gray:
With over 35 years of experience in colon hydrotherapy, bodywork, and holistic wellness, Suzanne Gray brings a unique and integrative approach to teaching that goes far beyond basic certification standards.
While students learn the principles and techniques of colon hydrotherapy, they also learn something equally important — how to connect with people, understand the practitioner/client relationship, and develop awareness of themselves throughout the learning process.
Suzanne’s philosophy is simple:
Colon therapy is not just about the colon.
It is about the individual, meeting people where they are, and learning to listen with both knowledge and compassion.
Originally revised by Suzanne Gray and Brenda Watson, the curriculum was expanded to provide students with a deeper understanding of the digestive system, anatomy, physiology, nutrition, bodywork, and the relationship between physical, emotional, and digestive wellness.
Today, Suzanne serves as the primary instructor, continuing to evolve the training with updated information, approaches, techniques, and decades of hands-on clinical experience.
Certified as an instructor through the International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT), Suzanne combines professional standards with practical real-world experience in both holistic and clinical settings.
Students are encouraged to discover their own authentic style as therapists, educators, and listeners while learning within an atmosphere of openness, professionalism, and support.
Suzanne’s background includes working alongside gastroenterologists for over five years, including collaboration within the office of Dr. Shepard, where colon hydrotherapy was integrated into digestive wellness programs and colonoscopy preparation support. These experiences helped bridge holistic and medical perspectives while expanding understanding of digestive health and client care.
The program includes both classroom education and practical application. Students gain hands-on experience working with fellow students, staff, and members of the public, while also learning sanitation protocols, equipment operation, business practices, ethics, and professional communication.
Students learn closed-system colon hydrotherapy techniques, equipment setup, sanitation standards, safety procedures, and practitioner/client interaction. Suzanne also shares professional discussion and personal experience regarding both open and closed systems and the evolution of colon hydrotherapy over the years.
